DGCA cancels Wings Aviation’s flying training operations approval

New Delhi: The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) on Monday, October 14, 2019, suspended the Flying Training Organisation (FTO) approval granted to Wings Aviation Pvt Ltd, Begumpet Airport, Hyderabad. The DGCA’s decision came into effect after two trainee pilots died in an aircraft crash in Vikarabad district on October 6, 2019. 

Two persons on board the aircraft, i.e., trainee pilots Capt. Amanpreet Kaur and Capt. Prakash Vishal have died in the accident. The flight was authorised by Capt. Raunak Cyril, Dy. CFI of Wings Aviation Pvt Ltd and the flight was to be operated by trainee pilot Capt. Amanpreet Kaur as the sole occupant of the aircraft, DGCA said citing the authorisation booking entry.
